Robert Wilson
1984-12-30Called Willy, he died in 1984 in Parkersburg, WV. He married on Mt. Oliver in 1970 and had a daughter. There’s not much information available on Willy, online or in print, and it may be the way he wanted it. He didn’t have a senior picture in the Clairvoyant yearbook and he turned his body away from the camera in his only activity picture, the Stage Crew, where he was a member for four years. I’ve scanned the big group class picture and can’t find him there. His other claimed senior activity, the Hi-Fi Club, didn’t have a yearbook picture. He liked music and was interested in electronics, a geek before it was a title of respect. He died 11 months after the first Macintosh was introduced in January, 1984 (famous Super Bowl commercial). He could have been an early Mac user. I’m sure Willy would have loved having Macintosh iPod for his music, but it wasn’t invented until 2001 - 17 years after his death.
