Eric Edwin Woll, an Annapolis resident for 11 years and formerly of Nassau Bay, TX, died November 9, 2010 at home after a 15 month battle with cancer. He was born December 13, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Woll. Eric is survived by his father, Charles Edwin Woll of Pittsburgh, PA; his wife of 43 years, Stephanie Woll of Annapolis; his son, Christopher Woll of Austin, TX; his daughters, Amy Gonzalez of Annapolis, and Sarah Shrader of Austin, TX; a sister, Karen Phelan of Rockford, IL; and two grandchildren. He attended Lehigh University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked as an International Crude Oil Trader and as a Senior Engineer at Exxon Mobil in Fairfax, VA and Houston, TX. His hobbies included woodworking, sailing and gardening. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the brain cancer research of Matthias Holdoff at the John Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
