Am appreciative to Wayne for his service.

I remember Wayne as a quiet, unassuming fellow student.  I have had the opportunity to speak to several youth groups about the horrors of war and I speak of 4 men who did not return and Wayne is one of them.  The others were 21, 24, and 35 respectively.  I think of the many years that I have been able to have that Wayne and the others have not.  It is a challenge to me to make the most of the time I have been given.  I try to get the young people to be thankful for what they have.  Having 5 sons of my own now, I can imagine the hurt the Sippey family felt when they learned of the price Wayne paid in Viet Nam.  It still hurts 40+ years later.
